Pitch supports PowerPoint (.pptx) files from Microsoft PowerPoint, and presentations exported to that format from Apple Keynote and Google Slides.

You can import your existing presentations into Pitch in two ways, by clicking on New presentation in your workspace or by dragging and dropping the file into a folder.

1. Click on the Import presentation button in the top of your dashboard.

2. If you choose Create presentation, you'll also see the option to Import in the top right.

3. You’ll see a pop-up to chose your PowerPoint file. Click Upload file.

4. You will see a pop-up indicating that the import is in progress. The amount of time this takes depends on your computer’s performance and the file size.

5. Once the import is finished, click Open presentation to be taken to your imported deck in Pitch.

There are some elements that might not import the way you’d expect. Supported elements of your original presentation should import into Pitch seamlessly.

Unsupported elements might look a bit different or be absent, depending on whether or not import functionality for a specific type of block already exists in Pitch.

If your team uses a font that is not already in Pitch, you can upload the font to your Pitch workspace so that you can apply it to your imported presentation.

Because Pitch doesn't yet have the same alignment features that PowerPoint does, you may notice that some blocks aren't perfectly aligned once imported. It is helpful to understand our smart formatting features to quickly align blocks in Pitch.

We’re always working hard to improve Pitch and to add more features. Whenever we encounter an unsupported element, a yellow placeholder box is shown. This makes it easy to see where the element sits on the slide and allows you to replace it quickly.

To replace any unsupported elements in your slide, click and delete the placeholder block and add a Pitch element of your choice. We have a range of charts to choose from, to which you can add your data and enhance your presentation.

What dimensions does Pitch support?

Currently, Pitch is only able to import a presentation with the dimensions of 16:9.

Will a slide style automatically be created and applied with my import?

Yes, once your file is imported, Pitch will automatically detect those details and create a corresponding slide style for your presentation.
