Have you ever wanted to create multiple presentations from the same template at once? Or, wouldn't it be convenient to be able to use exported customer data to populate variables? What about having the ability to create any flavour of ice cream you want at the snap of a finger?
Well, I don't know about that third one, but we've introduced batch creation to allow you to make several presentations from the same template at once with imported customer data autofilling your templates variables.
Get started with batch create
Before you can begin, you're going to need a library template to work from. This must be a template in your own Pitch library, as Pitch gallery templates don't have variables in them (yet!). If you need help creating a template like this, check out these two articles:
Click on Create a presentation, and then click on the template you'd like to use. Be sure to click on the preview image of the template, and not on + Create a presentation.
A preview of the available slides in the template will be shown. In the bottom right corner, you will see the option to Batch create.
When you click on Batch create, a table window will be generated with rows for each presentation you can create and columns for the variables. You can create up to 50 presentations in bulk at one time.
You can fill the table out manually with your desired information, but to speed things up even more, select Import data from the top right of this window.

You computer's file picker will appear, and you can choose any applicable CSV file. For best results, ensure that the column names in your file exactly match your variable names.
After the file is selected, you'll have the opportunity to choose to use the first row as a header, and to select the file type to ensure the correct mapping in used.
When the file is imported, you'll see the table updated with any column information that maps to the variable names already populated.
If there are columns that didn't map over, click Use data next to the variable's name, and choose which column from your data with which you want it to populate.
Use your image library and our media integrations to fill these in.
