Our philosophy
At Pitch, we believe in the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the power, usability, and magic of our product.
We believe we can create value and delight when we leverage AI ethically and effectively. This includes features that are visible and tangible, as well as systems that run behind the scenes to keep users safe.
We consider AI a tool that can accelerate Pitch toward our mission to raise the value of the world’s ideas.
Our approach
When evaluating whether AI is an appropriate part of a feature we're building or challenge we're solving, we follow a few general principles:
We build AI systems that are ethical, lawful, and robust. Our team is committed to ensuring every solution we release is fair, responsible, and in the best interest of our users.
In most cases, we prefer augmentation over full automation. We aim to keep users in full control of their work, to combine the strengths of humans and computers, and to allow human intervention on unwanted behavior.
We're committed to best-in-class data privacy practices. We comply with the GDPR and remain aligned with the AI guidelines proposed by the European Union in 2021.
We ensure all deployments match our quality standards. We carefully review AI behavior during development, before anything gets shipped to users. This includes due diligence checks on harmful biases.
We regularly monitor deployments. Detecting and acting on instances of drifting or any other unwanted application behavior is a priority for our team.
Legal considerations
Any processing of personal data in AI prompts could be a violation to data protection provisions such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you aren’t authorized to process it according to Art. 6 GDPR. Avoid also entering any sensitive personal data.
Any transmission of trade or business secrets could be a violation of the law.
There is usually no copyright for AI-generated content. In order to obtain copyright, the personality of a human being must be reflected in that work. This means that there must have been a sufficient human influence on the specific AI-generated work.
There is a general risk that, when using AI-featured tools, you may infringe an existing copyright. This may be the case, for example, if the content created is too close to the copyrighted works with which the AI tool was trained. To avoid warnings or lawsuits, it’s good practice to manually check any AI-generated content before sharing it.
Facts and misinformation can coexist in AI-generated content. To make sure that the information is valid, please verify the AI-generated results using reputable or scientific sources.
Don’t mislead people to believe that content generated with the help of AI in human generated.
Don’t use the AI feature to create political content, that could be used in political campaigns
