If you need a quick overview of all changes across your workspaces, the in-app notifications are a great place to start. You don’t have to dig through your email inbox; simply open the Pitch app and click on the bell icon (both in your workspace an in the editor). If you have unread notifications, you'll see a red badge on top of the bell.
Types of notifications
You’ll see a notification when another Pitch user does the following:
Assigns you a slide
Mentions you in a comment
Replies to your comment
Resolves your comment
Invites you to a workspace
Invites you to a presentation
Notification center
You can use the notification center to navigate to presentations that require your attention, read new comments, and stay organized when other people assign you slides.
When you open the notification center, each new notification will be marked with a blue badge. Unless you interact with the notification, it will stay marked as unread. You can also click Options next to the individual notifications to change their status
Mark as read: Either click on the notification or click on the options menu and confirm with Mark as read. You can also click on the icon next to settings to mark all new notifications as read.
Dismiss notifications: You can dismiss notifications to clear them from your inbox, if you're an inbox 0 kind of person.
Notification settings
Click on Settings in the notifications inbox to review what you are receiving notifications for:
Slack: You can integrate Pitch with Slack here to centralize your notifications
Link visits: If you have enabled email capture for analytics links you can also choose to enable email notifications for each time someone provides an email address.
Subscribe to a presentation
When you’re subscribed to a presentation, you will receive an in-app notification about all comments and slides marked as Done.
To keep up with presentation progress, Pitch automatically subscribes you to notifications from presentations that you create, edit, comment on, or where you get slides assigned to you. You'll also be automatically be subscribed to the presentation if you make an edit to any slide even if you're not assigned to them.
Additionally, you can manually subscribe to activity in other presentations. Just open the presentation menu in the editor and click on Subscribe. You can always unsubscribe from a presentation using the presentation menu.
Manage your presentation subscriptions
1. Open the Account settings.
2. Click on Notifications.
3. Unsubscribe from individual decks or turn off the automatic subscription preferences.
Desktop app notifications
If you’re using the Pitch desktop app on macOS or Windows, you will also receive system notifications. To receive notifications, you need to be a workspace member or a guest with edit access, have the desktop app running, and be online.
💡 Desktop notifications are enabled by default and can be turned off in the operation system settings of your device.
Mobile app notifications
If you’re using Pitch for iOS or Android, tap the bell icon in the bottom right to check your notifications.
You will land in your Inbox. Here you’ll find all notifications that directly concern you.
Tap on the Subscribed tab to see all notifications about new comments and slides marked as Done in presentations that you are subscribed to.
Swipe right over the notification to mark it as read.
Swipe left over the notification to dismiss it.
